Jesus breached social and religious boundaries when he spoke to a woman of Samaria at thevillage well. In the process, he revealed to her his true identity as the Messiah and offered herLiving Water. She was so overwhelmed by all that Jesus knew about her that she ran back to town and proclaimed in faith who she had seen. Many came to believe that Jesus is the Messiah of God because of her testimony.
